Khadine Morcom
Class days and times: Fridays 12.30-1.30pm (community class)
Khadine has been practising yoga and meditation since the mid 90s, teaching since 2004 and training yoga teachers since 2014. She is a senior registered teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals and holds a masters degree (with distinction!) in Yoga and Meditation Traditions. Her classes are deep, kind and fun and her passion for the whole tradition of yoga make her classes inspiring, uplifting and transformative. Khadine teaches Vajrasati yoga which is underpinned by the qualities of inclusivity, inquiry and authenticity. Khadine’s classes are known for being intuitive, creative and innovative, using our own deep understanding of ourselves to experience yoga through the most intimate and spacious relationship simultaneously. Khadine also uses her relationship with the wider tradition of yoga to share her knowledge and experience through tantric and haṭhayoga traditions with a strong focus on our relationship with energy. You will move between stillness and movement seamlessly and supports and explorations with props may be used as an expression of an extension of our individual selves as an interaction with our environment.
Vajrasati yoga combines the postures, breathing and meditation techniques of classical/modern postural yoga, along with innovative explorations outside ‘traditional’ postures from a conscious, subtle and energetic alignment perspective. The classes are always suitable for all levels and won’t fail to integrate the newest student whilst providing a fresh perspective for very experienced students. Accessibility for the newcomer with detailed clear instruction and depth for even the most experienced practitioners allows for an inclusive practice which is at the heart of Vajrasati yoga. Vajrasati draws on traditional teachings of yoga philosophy and brings them to life through an embodied understanding to truly give the student the experience of yoga/union beyond just a physical exercise, but a whole-being experience.

Khadine is a marvel. She’s so gifted at being able to tell what fits for everyone’s varying anatomy. She comes up with ingenious solutions and makes yoga asana accessible for everyone no matter what stage they’re at. Her knowledge of anatomy is encyclopaedic and she’s not dogmatic in her teaching which is one of the draws for me as she gives you the space to be absorbed in your practice. One of the best. Seek her out!
